        Please re-read my post about NetWare <-> Mac connectivity. The "Not
really" applies to the generalization made about connecting a Mac client to
a NetWare server... The original author (incorrectly) assumed that the
NetWare for Macintosh client software had to be running on the Macs, and
this is *not* true: You can make a NetWare server transparent to the Mac,
just like an NT server.

        It all hinges around whether you have the AppleTalk stack running on the
server; or force the Mac client to run IPX (NetWare) or an SMB client (such
as DAVE).

        Not really: There are two ways to connect a Mac to a NetWare server:

        One way is to force the Macs to run the IPX stack; and this requires the
special client you describe;

        The other way is to load APPLETLK.NLM at the server itself, which allows
the Macs to connect up via the AppleTalk stack.
