[WinMac] Re: Reloading NT

O.k. here's one for you NT gurus:

I have a dual-boot machine running Win98 and NT Server. 98 is on a FAT32
partition and NT is on an HFS partition, meaning that they can't see each
other.

The copy of NT that I have is an evaluation copy. So it expired yesterday
and I was told i could just reinstall it as if it were an upgrade. So I'm
trying to do that. I boot into NT, run "Winnt32.exe /b" from DOS, it goes
through its thing, reboot, then I get to choose the "Upgrade" option from
the Boot.ini display, then it says it cannot find bootable device
(meaning it can't see the CD-ROM) very odd unless it's replacing the
drivers or something...???

So I figure, o.k. I'm smarter than NT right? So I go ahead and redo the
process, this time wihtout any switches so that it builds the bootable
floppies. So I restart from the floppies, everything fine, asks me for
floppy #2, as soon as I put it in, I get an error:

"File SETUPREG.HIV could not be loaded.
The error code is 4100

Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit"

What the hell is that? Setup Registry Hive???? I have no idea what that
means.

Anybody have any ideas? I would hate to have to format that partition and
reaload everything, after it took me a long time to get everything
working under NT as I wnated it (video drivers were a major pain)

Thanks
