Here's a suggestion for anyone who doesn't want to read the content of a
message: don't...

I look at the complete list of subject lines, copy and paste a keyword or two
into my e-mail client and use the find feature to go through the body of the
digest to find just those messages I *want to read*. For instance, I read the
one with the "Enough Evangelizing" subject, because I was curious what the
person had to say. But were I annoyed with messages about evangelizing,
moderating, censorship, Steve ****-ing Jobs or any others -- or found them to be
a waste of my time -- I would find it a quite simple process to skip right over
them. And suggest that anyone that has a problem with any of the messages on
this list do exactly the same thing. Oh, heck. Just be annoyed if you want. It's
a free world for the most part...

If this list ever becomes so mired in nonsense that it becomes more trouble than
it's worth, then I won't waste my time. But for now, I find at least one out of
three to five messages worth looking at. And, frankly, skip over most of the
messages I mentioned above. But every once in awhile, you've just got to have a
good laugh.

BTW, I use/prefer a Mac -- and absolutely love the POP3 Outlook Express from MS.
I also like IE 4.5, though I think they blew it when they removed the instant
open folder tabs via mouse rollovers. Hey, a Mac person who likes Microsoft
products! Some of them, anyway. I also use a PC, and tend to be the resident
tech answer-man in my department. I think this list is great, and wouldn't want
to change a thing. That's because if you did, we'd lose some of the best input
from some of the most passionate contributors. Debate helps you evaluate the
effectiveness of an answer for your environment. I'd hate to lose that.
