[WinMac] Mac Outlook 8.1 Client Install Problems

Hi,

We are in the process of migrating to Outlook as our email client in a
cross-platform shop. I have had the same experience as Brooks with Outlook
8.1 for PowerMac (type 2, 3 errors on launch) on about 20% of the Macs
(these run the gamut from PCC clones to G3/266s; no common hardware thread).
I have tried extensive extensions reconfigurations, trashing prefs,
reloading MS extensions and libraries, etc, but the only viable solution we
have found is to do a clean install of the Mac OS and then install Outlook
and configure it, and then migrate the contents of the previous System
Folder to the new clean one. I'm really hoping to find a less costly (takes
about 2-3 hours per machine) solution to this problem. Anybody have any
input on this one?
