Greetings,

We are a small graphics department on Mac platform inside a larger gov't
organization that uses NT for its OS network, PINE (sp?) for email
serving, and Cooperstown for the employee intranet.

? Question: I would like to know what are the key features, advantages
and benefits of using ASIP 6.1 vs NT-Services for Macintosh for our
department network OS. I suspect the IT dept. will argue against the
ASIP server since they are NT users. Is ASIP compatible with NT and PINE
?

Part of my plan is to upgrade to G3 workstations (CPU+Monitor) and ask
for a G3 server for our office. Couldn't this server easily do double
duty as a scanning station, along with some light design jobs for a jr.
designer?

Any help is appreciated as it might help me with writing my proposal. I
found some info in the archive, but nothing about comparing the stengths
of ASIP to NT-Services for Macintosh.
