PSPrinter 8.3.1 is INCOMPATIBLE with OS 8.5.1. This word has ambiguous
meaning. Basically, you'll get erratic behaviour. What I've seen it do
(among other things) is freeze your Mac when you're copying over the
network!!! Seems completely unrelated but it happens. And just generally
weird stuff.

Adobe and Apple's solution is to upgrade to AdobePS 8.5.1 and this seems
to work ok. The problem also arises with OS 8.5 (but I think it's more
noticeable under 8.5.1). After you get the new driver (from ADobe's
website) make sure you delete PSPrinter 8.3.1, don't leave it lying
around.
