I agree with Alex Dearden: one person's moderation is another person's
censorship.

I've been reading this list for about six months and have yet to see much
that is totally irrelevant. Yes, people become passionate and occasionally
abusive in defense of their favourite platform/software. So what? IMHO a
thin skin is definitely a disadvantage in a discussion group of this sort.
Robust argument often leads to interesting discussions.

There is also a view that abuse is a substitute for technical evidence and
a sign of insecurity in the abuser. Uncomfortably close for a few of you?

As to irrelevance, it's fairly easy to read the first message of a thread
and filter out the rest if one is not interested.

Let the games continue!
