[WinMac] Printing with Windows

To anyone who wants to print from Windows 95.

I checked the Microsoft knowledge base and found that there is a little file
called WIN87EM.dll that appears to be used by all printer software. Like a
good little .DLL it loads and unloads as needed. Unfortunately it does not
unload gracefully or completely, it can leave bad information behind that
causes a GPF, 10H, or similar error when it reloads. Loading is mostly a
function of an application needing some part of the printer configuration or
parameter list. It can happen when you least expect it and for a seemingly
unrelated task. It is a part of Windows 95 provided by M$ and distributed
to the print driver manufacturers.

The fix recommended by M$ is to rename the file (in DOS mode) to WIN87EM.EXE
and add the name to the LOAD= line of the WIN.INI file. Unfortunately dome
applications call this .DLL by name and will not work in this configuration.

I know this does not help 'solve' printing problems but it does explain some
of the behavior.

This file was fixed in Windows 98.
