Well, after not reading these messages about Steve and his antics, I saw
so many posts and decided I had to find out.

First, on moderating the list. Moderation is good if it is used with
moderation. If a subject is way out of line, then moderate it. If a
subject is on the boarder, let the poster know that, but still let the
message live. If the message is starting to bread too much, put the
kibosh on it, or any other postings, but also let the list know that this
is happening. Atleast that way the people that were talking about could
know to move the discussion off list.

Second, I agree with others on the list, that this topic is valuable
information. Yes, there is some off-colored wording, but it helps show
the feeling behind the words. No, I don't care to read it put in such a
way, but I can't force my feelings and values on anyone else, I live in a
couple of different communities and the communities in each one sets the
ground rules of conduct. And if I don't like them, I can move/leave.
But remember that the community sets the ground rules by talking with
most of the people to see how they want things run, and write the rules
around that. It's called a democracy. (Don't get me started about the
White House and Senate of the good ole' US of A.) Granted the list is
only a small section of the tech. people out there, but it is still a
portion/representation of the whole.

Just my .02¢. Take it or leave it.

If you want to respond, please do so off list. Thank you for your eyes.
