I agree with the people who say this forum sometimes degenerates into a
platform war, but even most of those postings are useful in their own way.
Macs and Windows both have their strengths and weaknesses, and the posts
which rail against Apple's and Microsoft's management can give us insight
into what people put up with in the real world. I only wish someone at those
companies were monitoring this list and taking these arguments up the food
chain. This would give them real-world feedback from advanced users.

We're getting to know some real personalities on this list, and I can decide
how many grains of salt to apply to people's ranting based on my perceptions
of them. I'd rather err on the side of too much information than have a
moderator step in and decide what information gets to us.

Of course, we should remain civil and not attack each other. Steve Jobs and
Bill Gates seem to be fair game though.
