[WinMac] Clarification of wording [WAS:Re: printing]

Dear Alex,
I don't think I worded my post quite so lucently: I meant that the
*argument* was obsolete. Personally, I regard TrueType as only good for
"office work" and not for any sort of publishing, due to the poorer quality
of text rendered.
BTW, when I set up a Mac for either a server or for publishing, I disable
ALL TrueType fonts (and hence the TrueType rasterizing engine)... Even the
"city" fonts. I do this on servers to pick up an extra couple of points in
speed; and I do this for publishing Macs to assure that no TrueType fonts
are accidently used. Some publishers, notably Forbes Magazine, will not
accept a job if any TrueType fonts are used. Period.
[In case you are wondering, the Bezier "fill rules" (whether a printer
"dot" is placed or not) for TrueType are different than for PostScript Type
1; and because of this PostScript renders much finer details, especially at
lower printer DPI.]
