        Dear Norman,

        This seems to be a server bottleneck more than anything. Make sure that
users can bypass traverse checking... This is accomplished at the server by
adding the following Registry DWORD:

HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/FileSystem/NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate
NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate DWORD value=1
(Note that the spelling is case sensitive!)

        Try this first... Unless the server or workstation needs security
auditing, then I always shut down Traverse Checking...
