I've not had the particular problems you've described with the twenty-five
8.5.1 workstations I have running Dave 2.1. However, I have found it to be
incompatible with AppleShare 6.1's Windows services -- in fact it hung
clients and servers alike for a while. The folks at Thursby said that they
had no plans to fix this particular problem, but as it was avoidable I
chose to stick with Dave.

I've had no other Dave-related problems with file corruption, though I have
from time to time had appleshare client problems relating to NT's Services
for Macintosh and with incompatible clients of AppleShare servers...

I don't deny that your problems may be Dave-related, and I also should say
I hadn't used 2.0 very long before we went to 2.1.

Good luck with your troubles.
