What I would (try to) do is put all these documents in a shared folder on
the NT machine that is on the same Zone and has the same Machine Name as
did the Appleshare server. Then, the clients will be fooled into thinking
that it's actually the old server that they're connecting to... thus
preventing the crashes.

The other thing that you might want to do (just an idea, of course), is
ditching the AppleShare Prep files on the client machines, so that they
don't think that they're using the old server anymore. Then, I think that
Word should gracefully give an error message in that case.

BTW, in system 7, an error Type 11 is the same as system 8's error type
2, it's just that type 11 errors are incorrectly mapped on system 7.
Normally, the error is memory related, though I'm not sure that that's
the case here...
