screen sizer utility?

I was noticing on my Mac at home last night just how large the black
boarder is around the real image area on my 17" monitor. So much so that I
probably have more like a 15" monitor. I know many of the newer monitors
have controls for adjusting this built-in but the monitor I have at home
doesn't as it's an older monitor.

If my memory serves me correctly there used to be a software utility that
would allow you to adjust the height and width of the image area so that it
uses more of your monitor. I think I might have used this years ago on a
Quadra 650 with a 14" monitor. If anyone remembers the name of this
utility please let me know. You can send your replies directly to me at
<tomroth@wfubmc.edu>.

Thanks in advance!
