missing files

3 x G3, 1 x 8600, 1 x 7100 all running Mac OS 8.1
Sometimes the 7100 doesn't see all the files in a folder on the NT server that
the other machines see.

If the missing file is copied to any other machine other than the 7100, then
copied back to the server, it suddenly shows up on the shared volume when seen
from the 7100

TCP/IP and DAVE is being used by the Mac's to see the volume on the NT.

Mac file services are enabled on the NT.

Any hints?
