.

An update,

This morning, miraculously, the (Mac) fonts sitting on the NT
server were back to normal again...
God knows why, the NT server has been up and running since
yesterday and no installations have been done on either end,
very spooky.

As the Japanese say "tenki no sei" = 'because of the weather'.

On a similar note, the new OS8.5 has an appearance manager
that lets you set the fonts in "Large System views", "Small System
views" and "Views" differently.

You can pick the font an size of your liking - well, almost!
There are problems with this new feature...

You cannot set the "Small System views" to anything other than
Geneva. Not a problem if you use an English system but it is a p
problem with Japanese language kits.

Talking to Apple, this is a bug, or in their words, an unimplemented
option.

Actually, to be able to set the "Large System view" to a Japanese
font I had to install Kaleidoscope...

Any workarounds (I can think of ResEdit) would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time!
