I'm a Mac user and have both PO and SMTP mail experience. I'm supporting
some folks that have just installed Microsoft BackOffice Suite with an
Exchange server. They have a dozen or so POP3 mailboxes that they wan
the Exchange server to access at their local ISP via their dial-up
connection (no incoming SMTP). Can this be done?

Exchange is a SMTP mail server so I presume that the send would be SMTP
when the server is connected or will Exchange hand off to the ISP for
their mail server to handle it when it access the POP3 mailboxes?

Regards,
Dean
