Only high end graphics programs normally respect the dpi...

Any normal program is going to display a pixel per pixel... especially
screen presentation programs... well...

If you were to scale the image back again 4.16 times.. or to 24% then you
should get the 300dpi image at 72dpi... and it should print out at a nice
quality...
