Re: [WinMac] Macs Printing Past NT Security

Here is a little clarifcation to the problem from our IS person:

Here's the scenario:

- Two HP LaserJet 5Si NX (one queue - printer pooling) are setup
through NT Server 4.0
- All protocols but DLC are disabled (so the printers won't show up
under their AppleTalk names in the Chooser)
- Print Manager Plus is installed on the NT Server in order to
meter/charge for printing
- DAVE is installed on the Macs (DAVE Print Gateway is setup) so that
users will have to logon before they can print

This works just fine on the two Macs in the building. However, anyone can
bring in their PowerBook and print for free to the actual print queue.
Somehow the Macs seem to bypass NT security and print directly to the
printers available on the wire. Somehow I would think that this should be
addressed through NT security settings; I've tried just about anything, but
I seem to be missing something. Any suggestions would be highly welcome.
