[WinMac] NT vs Win98 in Mac shop?

I support about 18 Macs, 4 NT Servers, 2 Win98 computers at
a software development (the product runs on NT Server which
is why there are so many). Our in-house file server is
ASIP6.0 with a print spooler - our printers are all
LaserWriters. Tthe production servers are Macs. We are not
currently using an NT Domain. Our network is primarily
TCP/IP, a little AppleTalk and some NetBEUI running over
10/100 bT ethernet. My own background is stronger on Mac
though I've been administering the PCs as well.

We are now purchasing about 5 more G3s, and 9 PCs which
will come with NT Workstation installed.

My question is, in a company like ours does it make more
sense to standardize the PCs on NT Workstation or Win98?
What is the big-picture difference between them, especially
from a support perspective? And, since our servers are on
Mac, is there a difference in how the different PC
platforms fit into a Mac-centric user culture? In the long
run, PCs may outnumber Macs, so that culture will probably
change pretty soon.

Suggestions, wisdom, testamonials - all are accepted. To
save 'bandwidth' you can send directly to me and I'll
collate and repost the comments together here.

Thanks!
