First, I strongly suggest, if it is at all possible, that you upgrade to
Mac Client, Outlook for Exchange Server SP1. This is available on the
Microsoft's ftp site.

Exchange 5, and the first version of Outlook for Exchange Server, are
nothing but trouble on the Mac. I have had much better luck with Mac
Outlook for Exchange Server SP1.

Second, I would suggest deleting two files/directories in the
preferences folder, "Exchange Preferences" and "Exchange Profiles" and
then try to re-create the profile.

Under Exchange 5 and the first version of Outlook for Exchange Server,
the Profiles in the Exchange folder frequently become corrupted,
especially if the Macintosh crashes while Exchange is open.

If it still doesn't work, you may need to completely delete all files
related to Exchange, and re-install.

Cheers!
