Is anyone using Oracle and the Oracle GLDI application? GLDI (General
Ledger dDesktop Integrator) is a Windows only app that allows Oracle
General Ledger to communicate more or less directly with Excel.

We are having a problem getting this program to install and function on
the Windows side of Macintosh computers either with VirtualPC or with
PCI-based PC cards. We have not tried SoftWindows.

In VPC the installation works, but running GLDI doesn't work, possibly
due to networking problems. Other networking runs fine, including
communicating with the Oracle mainframe through other means.

On the PC cards, the installation can't even finish.

We have also had problems getting the software to install on regular
Pentiums, but have developed some workarounds to make it happen. Anybody
else tried using GLDI in this way?
