[WinMac] Installing a SCSI drive

Hello. A while ago we got some G3s and at the time the vendor did not have
any with SCSI hard drives in stock. So we got the IDE/ATAPI drives rather
than wait. Now, I'd like to put SCSI drives in the G3s and remove the IDE
drives.

In order to do this, am I going to need third party driver software, like
Silverlining or FWB Hard Disk Toolkit?

Does Apple's Drive Setup program still only support Apple-branded hard
drives, or have they gotten better with OS8?

thanks,

ian
