I doubt it very much, as far as Office Professional and the
corporate/developer world are concerned. Access offers a smooth upgrade to
SQL-base client server sytems, which Filemaker doesn't seem to. Also,
exchange of data between Filemaker and Office apps seems incredibly
old-fashioned and cumbersome compared with what can be done in Office
Professional for Windows.

OTOH, Access is overkill and intimidating for most home and some SOHO users;
conceivably a version of Filemaker would fit in somewhere there.
