The parts you need should be available in any computer or telephone
equipment stores. I suggest that you also get a crimping to attach the
connectors to the cable. Colors should not matter, but take good care when
you attach the RJ connectors the wires are in the same orientation.
If the number of computer is not too many, you should not need a patch
panel and just use the hub. Or, (this is what we do) stack the hubs in a
rack, then it becomes a patch panel -- plus no hassle to connect the patch
panel to the hubs.

Remember the 10baseT length limit. Beyond that, you will need a backbone
and router.
