Anybody had this happen to them:

I recently installed NT 4.0 using Virtual PC and it worked beautifully (I
had my doubts). I left it open while my wife checked her email. I don't
know if she didn't quit VPC porperly or what but next time I rebooted my
system partition (where VPC was installed) was gone, track 0 deleted,
couldn't find the catalog. Not Norton nor HDT could revive it (nor
Techtool Pro) nor could I unerase my drive. Very weird indeed. And she
didn't force quit or anything, just rebooted.

Never seen anything like it.
