Marc,

While I work with PPT everyday I've never touched version 7 (a.k.a. 95).
In PPT97 (current Windows version) there's an option to save as version 3,
4, 95, 95 & 97 or just 97. Windows PPT97 and Mac PPT98 are compatible as
is. For saving down to an older version though Mac PPT98 only has save as
version 4 or 98. Not sure why they did that. So to answer your question
you'd be safe to save it as version 4 but there were many new features
added between 4 and 95 so it might not look the same. I suppose you could
try saving it that way and reopening it but the only true test will be when
your PPT95 friend opens it and sees it on their screen.

Another option is if you've got access to PPT97 on a Windows platform open
your PPT98 file there and then save it down to version 95. Or send it to
me and I'll do it for you!

Watch your fonts too. If you use the ones that ships with PPT you should
be fine. The Windows version has an option to embed TrueType fonts but
only works with native Windows TTF and the ones that come with PPT. If you
used a font that came with WordPerfect for example it won't embed that.
