Why, yes, I >do< have experience with this very thing. The problem you seem
to be having is one of connection. I can't really speak too much for
drivers, but I am told by colleagues who have supposedly done this that you
simply have to try all of the Apple drivers until you find one that works. I
would suggest going through the Win9x built-in drivers first before trying
the Apple drivers. Now, as to the connection itself, there is one thing that
you are missing. In order to hook a Mac serial printer up to a PC serial
port, you must use a null modem. (a null modem cable will work just as
well.) I >do< have the exact wiring info (pinouts communication info and
whatnot) somewhere if anyone is interested, but I'd have to dig it up.
Anyway, to make a long story short, the null modem should give you a
connection, at which point you will simply need to test drivers until you
find one that works (provided nobody else on the list knows which drivers
work.) If you require any assistance in figuring out what to purchase as
far as cables go, just drop me a line (luis.handal@mail.tju.edu) and I will
be glad to have one of my friends who works in the retail side of the
industry send me a list of options with his companies part numbers and
whatnot.
