I've only been on this list for one day and so far all I've seen is the same
old (tired) argument between people who already have their minds made up. I
only hope that the debate over the speed of NT/Appleshare servers is not
indicative of the content of this list, as Darryl Lee mentioned...

MacAddict magazine tested a G3 Macintosh against a 333 PII and found that
while the CPU is faster, the Mac ran slower (including graphics programs
like PhotoShop), they did not publish the findings (surprise) but their
sister publication (Boot) did. What more can be said to end this debate and
get on with more useful pursuits such as maintaining Resource/Data forks
when Word documents are opened by multiple clients and backed up/restored on
NT servers.
