Through this transition to MIME type the form of the digest has not
changed on my end. I recall reading that whether an email message came as
an attachment or not was a function of the recipients internet server.
Once emails go above a certain length the server changes them from a
regular email to an attachment. (or the other way around, all emails are
attachments from server to server and only short ones are converted back
to a non-attached mode?). AOL had a limit of 32 K bytes otherwise the
item was forced to be an attachment. So it is possible the reason the
recent digest was not an attachment, was it's shorter length. Also, this
would indicate that your server might be configured to not create the
attachments.
