Subject: Orange Micro for cc:mail

Hi. I've set up an Orange Micro card in my wife's Mac IIfx so that she can
connect to her company's cc:mail setup. They have long ago shut down the
Macintosh version, and will not support it, so we figured she could use the
Windows version on her Orange Micro card.

Everything seems to set up properly, but on most occasions when she connects
to her server over the phone line to pick up her mail, the connection
freezes. This is typically somewhere within the authentication script, but
occasionally the connection will remain active long enough to receive a few
email messages.

The modem we are using is a US Robotics Sportster 33.6. We've also tried a
Hayes Accura 28.8, and have tried varying the connection speed and other
setups.

Has anyone else succeeded in using an Orange Micro card for this task, and
if so, what is necessary to make it work?

Thanks,

Bob N.
